Taco shop Tacodeli is expected to open a second Dallas restaurant Dec. 11

Tacodeli is expected to open a second restaurant in Dallas, near Preston Hollow, on Dec. 11. The Austin-born taco shop has a loyal customer base in the Lone Star State.

Tacodeli 2.0 will open at the northeast corner of Central Expressway at Walnut Hill Lane and will have the same format as the first Dallas shop in West Dallas: It'll be a fast-casual restaurant with a menu of 40 tacos and simple add-ons like salsa and queso.

Tacodeli first launched in Austin in 1999. One of its co-owners, Eric Wilkerson, is from Dallas and says of his hometown, "The community has been extremely welcoming and for that we are truly grateful."

The new shop's tortillas will be made at La Nortena Tortillas in Oak Cliff.
