7-Eleven's Big Red Slurpee comes to Texas

Big Red Slurpees are new to Texas this summer.

Big Red and 7-Eleven are coming together to solve the problem of Texas heat: a Big Red Slurpee, new to Texas.

Last year, 7-Eleven released the Sour Patch Kids watermelon-flavored  Slurpee(which we didn't exactly love).

Though we haven't tried the Big Red Slurpee yet, it makes more sense than the Sour Patch Kids Slurpee. After all, Texas is Big Red's No. 1 market, and both Big Red and 7-Eleven are based in Texas (Austin and Irving respectively). Really, Texas probably should have been the first state with a Big Red slurpee, but no complaints that it's finally arriving to all 650+ stores in Texas.

"Slurpee and Big Red both epitomize originality and fun, and pairing the two puts an exciting twist on a classic summer staple," senior vice president of Marketing at Big Red, Inc. Thomas Oh said in a statement.
