Where to get free pretzels in Dallas on National Pretzel Day April 26

April 26 is National Pretzel Day, and several chains will have promotions so consumers can get one for free.

According to an article published in History.com, pretzels originated in the 7th century, when the Catholic Church included them on the Lenten menu.

Their consumption continued in Europe, and it was in 1710 when German immigrants brought them to America. It was not until 1861 that the first commercial pretzel house was established in Pennsylvania.

In North Texas, both Wetzel’s Pretzels and Auntie Anne’s Pretzels will have promotions to enjoy one of these snacks for free.

Wetzel’s Pretzels will celebrate its 30th anniversary on April 26 and will offer one free original pretzel per person from 3 p.m. until closing. No purchase is necessary.

Through its app, Wetzel’s will offer two exclusive sweepstakes, one in which participants can win a year’s worth of free pretzels or the appearance of a Wetzel’s Pretzels Food Truck at their next birthday party.

Auntie Anne’s will give away a free original or cinnamon-sugar pretzel at participating locations; you just have to pay the tax and fees.

You can get it through their rewards app, and it will only apply to those who claim it in-store and not to those who order it through third-party delivery.
