Father Christmas, the personification of Christmas in Britain, will be on hand until 3 p.m. to greet children and families. This event is free and open to the public. A Very British Christmas includes a sampling of mince pies, Christmas cakes and other festive food and drink – all available during the open house.
Nancy Churnin, theater critic for the Dallas Morning News, will be at the Very British Open House signing copies of her new book, The Queen and the First Christmas Tree. Her new book tells the true story of Queen Charlotte, who brought her family’s festive holiday yule bough from Germany to England.
