US Navy Blue Angels will fly over Cowtown Air Show this weekend. Here’s where to watch

The squadron will perform both Saturday and Sunday.

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels return to North Texas this weekend to take flight in the Wings Over Cowtown Air Show.

The event will take place Saturday and Sunday at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth.

This is the first time the elite squadron of flyers has returned to the area since a 2020 performance, and they were last at NAS JRB Fort Worth in 2016.

Though the Blue Angels are the headlining act, there are a number of other performers: F-16 Demo Team, C-17 West Coast Demo Team, Next Gen Eagles, Adam Barker Airshows, Trojan Phlyers and more.

Gates open at 9 a.m. with the first performance beginning at 11 a.m. The Blue Angels are scheduled as the last performance of the day from 3 to 4 p.m.

General admission is free but a parking pass, which can be obtained on the event website, is required to park on base or at Ridgmar Mall to be shuttled over. Those parking on base need to do so before 1 p.m. Base parking for Saturday is already full.

The base’s commanding officer, Capt. Beau Hufstetler, said a big turnout is expected with 50,000 people estimated to come out each day, according to WFAA-TV (Channel 8).
