One of Seattle’s most brutal bands, Soundgarden didn’t become a deity like Nirvana or an arena-packing force like Pearl Jam. Still, the band has gotten its just due. Since reforming in 2010, lead wailer Chris Cornell, guitarist Kim Thayil, bassist Ben Shepherd and drummer Matt Cameron have been drawing big crowds of aging grunge connoisseurs and fans too young to have seen them before they broke up in ’97. Soundgarden is working on a new album — its first in five years — but don’t expect to hear any fresh material in Dallas. The tour is a career retrospective, ranging from ‘80s gems like “Incessant Mace” to well-known songs from the ‘90s — “Black Hole Sun,” “Rusty Cage” — to tunes from its well-received 2012 album King Animal.

Update from the Bomb Factory: "Due to the untimely passing of Chris Cornell, Soundgarden will cancel the remainder of their scheduled tour dates, including the May 26 show at The Bomb Factory. Ticket holders may obtain refunds at their point of purchase, online ticket buyers will be automatically refunded via Ticketfly. Please allow 5-7 business days for the refund to process. We appreciate your patience. If you have any questions, please email"
