Sweet! Milk Bar dessert shop pops up in Dallas on Saturday and Sunday

Milk Bar is coming to Dallas. Squeal!

For two days.

We'll take it.

The exceptionally popular dessert shop from chef Christina Tosi has been lauded by celebrities and written about in The New York Times, Bon Appetit, Buzzfeed and more.

Milk Bar does not have any Dallas-area shops, but the company will visit five cities, Dallas included, says Eater. The tour brings its sweets to cities that don't have immediate access to Milk Bar's famous layered birthday cakes, strawberry-lemon truffles and compost cookie cakes.

Milk Bar will pop up at Emporium Pies in the Bishop Arts District on June 29 and 30.

Here are some of the items on the menu: cereal milk soft serve (an ice cream dish topped with cornflakes, meant to "taste just like the milk at the bottom of a bowl of cornflakes," says Milk Bar's website); Milk Bar Pie (which Bon Appetit describes as salty and sweet, with "an irresistible oak cookie crust" — and is one of the company's most popular items); and compost cookies (the most extra cookie out there, made with chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, oats, coffee, potato chips and more).

When Milk Bar rolls into Dallas in late June 2019, look for its ice cream truck.

Emporium Pies in Bishop Arts is located at 314 N. Bishop, Dallas.
