Cheap lunch: Filet mignon sandwiches cost $1 at Morton's on Thursday

Today might be National Filet Mignon Day. There's a chance it isn't, too. These kinds of things are nearly impossible to confirm.

We can confirm this, however: Morton's the Steakhouse is selling $1 filet mignon sandwiches on Thursday, Aug. 13. To get the deal, you have to eat in the bar. Dollar sandwiches will be available from open to close -- 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. -- while supplies last.

The sandwich usually costs $15, according to a spokesperson.

On Aug. 13, rules say a single person can't order more than 12 sandwiches. That seems like a lot, anyhow.

Morton's only Dallas location is at 2222 McKinney Avenue in Uptown.
