Texas Live!, the $250-million entertainment complex opening alongside the Texas Rangers new baseball stadium, has a slew of high-profile names attached to the restaurants there. Monday, it announced a new distillery partner that will excite whiskey drinkers.

Balcones Distillery out of Waco has been contracted as the venue's "official Texas whiskey provider," according to a statement. That means customers 21-and-up will be able to find whiskey cocktails made with the company's products at multiple bars throughout Texas Live! and the distillery will also have its own outdoor bar at the Arlington Backyard, one of the concepts on the second floor of the venue.

"As one of the original grain to glass whisky makers in Texas, we look forward to sharing our distilled-in-Texas story with fans and visitors from around the world," said head distiller Jared Himstedt in a statement.

Opened in 2009, Balcones Distillery quickly gained a following for its whiskies and numerous awards to match.

Its 1 Texas single malt whiskey was named the best craft distiller whiskey at the 2018 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, which is an international event. That whiskey garnered a double-gold medal. The distillery, which is unique because of its use of heirloom blue corn in many spirits, took home two other golds for Texas Blue Corn Bourbon and Texas Cask Strength Rye Whiskey, as well as a silver for True Blue 100 corn whiskey and a bronze for Texas 100 Rye whiskey.

Texas Live! will also have a local brewery onsite. Granbury-based (and MillerCoors-owned) Revolver Brewing is building a beer-making facility on the ground floor of the Live! by Lowes hotel associated with the venue. That is expected to open in 2019.

Texas Live! is slated for a grand opening Aug. 9-12.

Other noteworthy concepts include a pizza joint from former Texas Rangers player Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez, a bar and restaurant concept from Troy Aikman appropriately called Troy's, a still to-be-named concept from TV personality Guy Fieri, a Lockhart's Smokehouse barbecue restaurant and a 1,500-person bar with mechanical bulls.
