Naked lady dancing on big rig shuts down Houston highway

Part of highway 290 in Houston reportedly shut down Monday morning after a naked woman used the top of a big-rig truck as a dance floor. Dancing in the street indeed.

KHOU station says the stopped 18-wheeler caused a three-car crash, which halted traffic. And what do people do in stalled traffic? They post photos to Twitter:

At 10:25 a.m. reporter Melissa Correa says firefighters are now trying to talk the woman down from the big-rig.

At 11:05 a.m., Correa said the firefighters appeared to have the woman in custody and emergency responders were on the scene.

Update March 7 at 7:30 p.m.:

According to the Houston Chronicle, Harris Country Sheriff Deputy Thomas Gilliland said the 25-year-old woman, who has yet to be identified, walking into traffic causing the pile up. Authorities believed she was involved in two hit-and-run incidents prior to climbing on the truck, he added.

"Sheriff's deputies believe the woman drove away from those two incidents and onto US-290, where she parked her vehicle, stripped off her clothes, and walked into traffic," the pub reported.

The woman is currently being evaluated at an area hospital, Gilliland said.
