Frisco residents will soon be able to savor a slice of Dallas. Cane Rosso Neapolitan pizzeria will open a new location in Frisco at The Star, the Dallas Cowboys new practice facility and headquarters, according to an announcement Tuesday.
Cane Rosso joins a stacked lineup of local restaurants opening in the complex in 2017, including the Common Table, Mi Cocina, Dee Lincoln Prime and Neighborhood Services. Other non-local offerings include City Works gastropub, Tupelo Honey Cafe, and Nestle Toll House Cafe.
The new pizza place will be Cane Rosso's ninth location after a busy couple years of expansion. Cane Rosso first opened in Deep Ellum in 2011 and grew to several locations in Dallas, then the suburbs. Earlier this year, the business opened its first locations outside of North Texas in Austin and Houston.
Here's a hilarious history of Cane Rosso:
The Star in Frisco inhabits 91 acres off the Dallas North Tollway, and includes crazy amenities for the Cowboys as well as several practice football fields that will also be used by Frisco ISD for high school games. In addition to football, the complex includes an Omni hotel, Baylor hospital and a retail development Charlotte Jones Anderson, executive vice president and chief brand officer for the Cowboys, has likened to a town square. That's where the restaurants will be. (There's also a dance studio.)
Much of The Star is still under construction, but the venue hosted an unveiling over the weekend. See what's in store.
