Last chance for huitlacoche tacos: Revolver Taco Lounge will soon close

Here's some sad news for lovers of Mexican cooking: Fort Worth's Revolver Taco Lounge will close when its lease is up at the end of June. "Our landlord decided to sell the building without giving us an opportunity to buy the property," says a post on the restaurant's Facebook page. "We all know W. 7th has changed dramatically during the course of these years and in a way we are happy to be part of it but we will not be part of the corporate monopoly money creates....We love the people and we thank the people of Fort Worth for all the support. In the meantime come and enjoy Revolver, we have till the end of June to have fun at this location."

The restaurant earned three stars in a review last May, and was included in "The Best in DFW:  Where the tacos are crazy-good" in July.  A silver lining: Owner Regino Rojas opened another restaurant, Campestre Chulavista, last month, also in Fort Worth.  Campestre is open Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and takes reservations via email at campestre1950@outlook.com. I haven't yet been, but it's on my short and urgent gotta-go-soon list.

I have a call in to Rojas, and will update after I hear back from him.
