Want an election escape? Dallas bar The Rustic will be featured on Cooking Channel tonight

It's 8 p.m. on Election Day. Are you looking for an escape from politics? A Cooking Channel TV show called Burgers, Brew & 'Que will feature Dallas bar and restaurant The Rustic tonight.

The show seems to have an affinity for Texas hot spots, as it featured three Texas restaurants back in July. (None were in Dallas.) Now it's Big D's turn, and host and chef Michael Symon is spotlighting one of Uptown Dallas' most popular bars.

The Rustic co-owner Kyle Noonan will be featured on the show while he cooks The Drunk Chick, a main-course dish made with game hen. It's so named because it's cooked with a beer can in the middle of the bird — it's a drunk chick, get it? A blurb on Cooking Channel's website calls The Drunk Chick "the juiciest chicken in all of Texas." On the show, the dish comes paired with Community Beer Company's Mosaic IPA.

Symon will also sample The Rustic's chorizo empanadas.

We haven't seen the episode yet, but it has to feature that giant piece of art above the bar made out of beer cans, doesn't it? Symon's show is focused on finding (and eating) burgers and barbecue around the country.

The Rustic in Uptown is part owned by Texas country musician Pat Green — and he can be found playing live at the venue from time to time. Green also owns an art gallery in Fort Worth. If they show B-roll of The Rustic on a typical Friday or Saturday night, we're guessing country-music stars like Green might make the cut.

The episode airing Nov. 6 featuring The Rustic is called "Beastly Burgers" and includes a stop in Boston and Phoenix.
