Get ready to hear all about Happiest Hour, downtown Dallas' newest bar and restaurant that's poised to be the talk of the town.

Happiest Hour

At a massive 12,000 square feet, Happiest Hour has seemingly rolled selling point after selling point into one venue. It opens Friday, Oct. 9, at 2616 Olive St., near Victory Park.

The spot's allure begins with the vibe; something akin to industrial-chic with concrete floors and bars, copper and steel accents, and gray wood paneling on certain walls that keep the interior from feeling sterile. Then there's the beverage menu with 50 draft beers (most of them craft), seven wines on tap and a handful of house cocktails named for regional sports teams, such as the Aggie Pick Me Up (a mix of two different tequilas, lime juice, agave nectar and garnished with a strawberry).

The real attraction, however, is the outdoor space: a first floor patio with backyard-style courtyard area and a rooftop terrace with 360-degree views of downtown Dallas. Hello patio weather!

Other details, such as the 1,500-pound custom seating booths and indoor and outdoor fire pits, will likely attract trendy Millenials and the business crowd to Happiest Hour, but its proximity to American Airlines Center makes the restaurant a prime destination for sports and music fans. Seriously, it's a five minute walk.

We recently got a sneak peek of Happiest Hour, which begins serving food and drink to the public Texas-OU weekend. The food menu is also listed below.
