Show-Stoppers

1. Dean Ambrose vs Brock Lesnar (street fight)

This is a star-making match for Ambrose, who'll show how much punishment he can take. I could see it being like Wrestlemania 17, when Steve Austin's fame skyrocketed in a valiant loss to Bret Hart. But I can also see Dean winning on outside help (Bray Wyatt, anyone?). Winner: Ambrose

2. Kevin Owens (c), Sami Zahn, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Sin Cara, Stardust and Zach Ryder (ladder match for Intercontinental Championship)

For fans of violence, broken bones and carnage. It will continue a feud between up-and-comers Owens and Zayn. The other five are there to take bumps (Sorry, Dolph). Winner: Owens.

3. AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho

From an athletic standpoint, the best match on the show, with prized new signee Styles vs. "Best in the World" Jericho. But subtract points because we know Styles is winning. Winner: Styles.

4. Roman Reigns vs. Triple H (c) (WWE Championship)

It's the end of a 15-month quest by WWE to make Reigns a fan favorite and a champion, an effort that gets more disastrous each week. Both will work hard, but it's not easy to see how fans will accept a Reigns victory. We'll see The Rock here, but even that could backfire if The Great One helps Reigns and fans turn on him too. Oh well. Winner: Reigns, and good luck to him.

5. Shane McMahon vs. Undertaker (Hell in a Cell with all sorts of stipulations)

Should be a fun match, but the buildup has been nonsense, with fans puzzled about why they should support either one. Only outcome that makes sense to me is a Shane heel turn. He realigns with Vince and loses anyway. Taker's entrance before 100,000 people should be off the hook. Winner: Undertaker.

6. The New Day vs. The League of Nations

Good performers here, but this match is to make you laugh. Will it really be 4 on 3? Winner: The New Day.

7. Charlotte (c), Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch (Divas championship)

Only their hairdressers know for sure, but you have a choice among blonde hair (Charlotte), orange hair (Becky) and pink hair (Sasha). Feels like time for Charlotte to drop the belt, probably as interference from Papa Ric Flair backfires. Winner: Becky Lynch.

8. Jimmy and Jey Uso vs. The Dudley Boyz

Fans have never warmed up to the Usos. In fact, it's still hard to tell them apart. Story here is, will the Dudleys use tables after swearing they wouldn't anymore? Here's a bet that they will -- and end up getting put through them. Winner: Usos.

9. Kalisto (c) vs. Ryback (U.S. championship)

WWE has made only a halfhearted effort to establish Kalisto as a fan-friendly Hispanic star. Either they go all in on that at Mania or bail and put the belton Ryback. Feel-good logic says the former. Winner: Kalisto.

10. Andre The Giant Battle Royal

A bunch of dinosaurs will plod around. Main purpose is to get a big win for WWE's next huge monster villain. Winner: Braun Strowman.

11. Five divas vs. five other divas

A bunch of random action in search of a plot, and a way to get a modest Mania payday for 10 divas. Winner: Let's say Brie Bella (Mrs. Daniel Bryan), gets a pinfall as a parting gift as she's supposedly leaving, with the pin-ee being Lana, who has been in Vince McMahon's dog house.

Surprises

WWE hasn't said how legendary performers Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels and John Cena to be used, but expect them all to show up. The Rock has promised an earth-shattering appearance, and that's likely to be in the Reigns-HHH match as a last-ditch attempt to save the storyline.
