A 9-year-old from Prosper is taking over the internet with this Whitney Houston video

Need a pick-me-up? If you're not one of the 21 million people who's already seen it, check out the video of 9-year-old Dane Miller, a Prosper local, belting out Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing."

The effervescent, young D-FW singer, who happens to have Down syndrome, brings his own style to the song, with arguably as much heart as the inimitable Houston herself.

Dane's aunt, Jeanne Miller, posted the video to Facebook early last week, where it quickly went viral with comments from listeners in many different languages.

"Just reading the comments, they're just so sweet. I'm going to get emotional," Danna Miller, Dane's mom, said while tearing up in an on-camera interview with CBS. "Even some other families that have Down syndrome children have posted pictures of their kids."

His mother also said that the family had recently watched a documentary on Whitney Houston. Dane's other favorite musicians include Taylor Swift, Kidz Bop Kids and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "Carol of the Bells." Here's hoping he keeps recording hits.

As for Dane, he said in the same interview that he felt "happy" about millions of people watching him sing. "He's very high-functioning, so if he hears music, it's just something that sticks with him," Jeanne Miller told ABC News. "He's very proud [of the video]. He just smiles and giggles."
