10 hilarious reactions to the return of Crystal Pepsi

I barely remember Crystal Pepsi. For some reason, there's a correlation in my mind with the Dallas Cowboys: Like, maybe I drank it once at a Super Bowl party my church threw when I was in the second grade.

But, as Thrillist points out, there are a lot of similarities between 2016 and 1992:

"[T]here's a Clinton running president, people are drinking Hi-C Ecto Coolers because of 'Ghostbusters,' and a new soda called Crystal Pepsi is landing on store shelves."

That's right. Amid rumors and speculation, Pepsi Cola confirmed today the controversial, decades-old anathema is returning. Dallas was an original test market when it landed in the spring of 1992; it went nationwide in 1993 before being scrapped later that year.

Despite Crystal Pepsi's reputation as a punchline, the soda retailer claims fans demanded its return. As a result, 20 oz. bottles of the notoriously failed recipe will hit American shelves on Aug. 8 for a limited 8-week run. They've also created an Oregon Trail style game (to be released on July 7) to cash in on that sweet, sweet nostalgia.
