Guide Geek: Nintendo announcements, 'Tron 3' and 'Doctor Who'

Maisie Williams joins Doctor Who

The lines between Westeros and the TARDIS will be blurring a little bit later this year. Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark in Game of Thrones, will be a guest star in the upcoming season of Doctor Who. We don't have much information on her character, but current Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat did say that she will challenge the Doctor in "unexpected ways."

Tron 3 gets a title (probably)

It didn't set the real world on fire, but I personally enjoyed the virtual world of Tron: Legacy. So I was happy to hear that Disney is reportedly moving forward with the third film in the series, which apparently will be titled Tron: Ascension. The title supposedly leaked out of the website Production Weekly, which also reports that the film will start shooting in Vancouver this October.

Nintendo announces all the things

Lastly, Nintendo announced a ton of stuff on April Fools' Day, but thankfully, none of it was a joke. There's too much to go over in such a short amount of time, but one of the highlights was the news that Nintendo is opening the floodgates to suggestions for new Super Smash Bros. characters. You can go online and request anybody you want, and Nintendo says they're taking those suggestions seriously.

Personally, though, I'm more excited about the announcement that Nintendo is finally bringing the Wii U entry of the Fatal Frame series to America. Fatal Frame 2 is one of the best horror games I've ever played, but it's been a very long time since any of the games in the series have been in English.
