The Borderlands games, developed by Plano-based Gearbox Software, have been blockbuster hits. But if you haven't jumped into the explosive, over-the-top, co-op shooter/RPG action yet you can get in for super cheap right now.
The latest Humble Bundle -- a regular collection of pay-what-you-want video games -- is all Borderlands. For as little as $1 you can get Steam keys for the original Borderlands as well as three of its DLC add-ons. That's a lot of hours of entertaining gameplay for less than a Big Mac.
If you pay more than the average person has (as of this writing, that average is less than $5) you also get Borderlands 2 and several of its add-ons, as well as a 75 percent off coupon for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on Steam.
If you pay $15 or more you get the rest of the Borderlands 2 content as well as a coupon for 25 percent off of merchandise on the 2K store.
More stuff will be added to the bundle in the coming days. Assuming they keep it strictly Borderlands, that could mean they'll include Telltale's wonderful episodic adventure game series Tales from the Borderlands, or possibly the mobile game Borderlands Legends. Those are purely guesses on my part, though.
The deal will run for the next two weeks, ending on July 7.
