EA announces 'Mass Effect Andromeda,' shows off 'Star Wars Battlefront'

Update: The show is over. I'll try to post an archive of the full thing soon, but in the meantime you can enjoy some Battlefront footage above and/or re-read the liveblog below.

Original story: EA is about to begin their E3 2015 press conference, which you can watch live via the video player above. It begins at 3 p.m. central time.

What can we expect to see? Probably some sports stuff, 'cuz that's a thing that EA does. But we can also expect to see some more of Star Wars Battlefront, which will be launching later this year in order to get you hyped up for Star Wars: The Force Awakens in theaters.

You can also expect to see Mirror's Edge: Catalyst, which we just recently learned is "not a sequel" to to cult hit first-person parkour action game. Need For Speed should also make an appearance.

Much of the rest of EA's lineup is under wraps, but if we're lucky we'll hear at least a bit more about the next game in the Mass Effect series, and maybe some tidbits about whatever else Bioware is working on. Those projects, as well as something from Burnout developer Criterion, were revealed at last year's E3 but we were given very little information on them.

And we know it exists, so it's not outside the realm of possibility that Titanfall 2 will at least be namedropped.

If you can't watch the video stream (or just want to chat while you watch), I'll be liveblogging the whole thing below.
