New Dallas podcast features two women from 'Real Housewives of Dallas' and former WFAA host Amy Vanderoef

Real Housewives of Dallas fans, get your popcorn, because 78-year-old "Momma Dee" Simmons has a podcast.

Dee Simmons is joined by her daughter and Real Housewives cast member, D'Andra Simmons, and friend and former Good Morning Texas anchor Amy Vanderoef. Vanderoef is a freelancer for The Dallas Morning News. The podcast is hilariously titled "I Don't Give A Rip." That's one of Momma Dee's catchphrases.

The first episode is full of Dee's quips. She doesn't give a rip. She's "no more concerned than a gnat's ass wrapped around a rain barrel." And she doesn't "care how the cow ate the cabbage."

In the Bravo TV show, Momma Dee was a smart-mouthed secondary character. In Bravo's wildest dreams, all women in Texas are like Momma Dee: She owns her own businesses, but her husband was also millionaire Glenn Simmons, who worked with his brother, billionaire Harold Simmons.

On the podcast, the three women meander through topics, like why D'Andra and Dee didn't speak for two months; getting plastic surgery; surviving cancer; making their own money; and staying away from fashion no-nos (like, should women skip the bra? Nope, they say).

Says a press release, "I Don't Give A Rip takes their passionate fans into the deep, with real conversations that help listeners to know they are not alone in their daily challenges and to learn to let go a little and enjoy their best lives ... and they'll even reveal some of their in-demand favorite recipes."

I Don't Give A Rip was created by YEA Networks, a company founded by the late Dallas DJ Kidd Kraddick. The first episode landed April 17 and is available via Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, TuneIn and Audioboom. Future episodes land at 10 a.m. Wednesdays.
