Salute 'House of Cards' President Claire Underwood at Love Field this week

Why is there a statue of a pregnant woman at the airport? At least that's what people who don't watch House of Cards will think.

The statue is of fictional President Claire Underwood. She stands on a pedestal flanked by the U.S. and Texas flags. All hail the chief: Fans can check out the statue through Nov. 14 at Dallas' Love Field.

Underwood hails from Highland Park, and so the show paid tribute to its sixth and final season by placing the statue in her hometown of Dallas. Golden Globe-winning Robin Wright, the woman who plays America's first woman president, is also from around here. Coincidence?

Probably not.

At the end of the fifth season, a back-stabbing Underwood took over the presidency after her murderous husband (Kevin Spacey, no longer with the show), Francis J. Underwood, resigned as president. The sixth and final season of the political drama is available on Netflix.
