Kelly Clarkson gets a new daytime talk show that will replace Steve Harvey's series

Kelly Clarkson continues building her TV empire, this time with a syndicated talk show that will debut next fall.

Clarkson won the first American Idol reality TV competition. The Burleson native sits in the judge's seat on another reality TV competition show, The Voice. And now she's headed to daytime TV for a one-hour show on which she also serves as an executive producer.

Clarkson shot a pilot for the talk show this summer and announced the pickup on The Tonight Show earlier this week: "I like talking. It's like my favorite pastime," she said. According to Deadline, "each episode will feature stories, celebrity guests, surprises, humor and music."
