In one of the more consistent cases of life imitating art, John Stamos just keeps living the dream of his character on Full and now Fuller House.
The serial TV star (Fuller House, Grandfathered, Scream Queens, ER, Full House, General Hospital) will join the Beach Boys -- again -- on tour to play drums. The Beach Boys come to town Oct. 10 at the Majestic Theatre.
Stamos' character of Jesse Katsopolis, an erstwhile musician and everyone's favorite uncle, excitedly got to play with the Beach Boys during the show's run. And Stamos was the (uncredited) drummer for The Beach Boys: An American Family, a television miniseries in 2000; he was also a producer. Basically, they go way back.
He toured with the band, too; basically, they go way back.
Stamos has gone from a longtime friend and one of the band's biggest fans to being a regular. He even performed with them during the annual Fourth of July concert near the U.S. Capitol this year; he also hosted that concert.
The Beach Boys will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Majestic, 1925 Elm St. in downtown Dallas. Tickets are $39.75-$89.75.
