The Marvel Television Universe just keeps expanding. And this time, it's coming to Dallas.

"Untitled Marvel Action Adventure Drama" will start shooting this month in and around the city. GameSpot reported early Monday, March 13, that the working title is Gifted, not to be confused with the forthcoming movie of the same name.

Though every show from Marvel about mutants is not necessarily an X-Men one, some of the listed characters have called the X-Mansion at Graymalkin Lane home at one time or another. Thunderbird (Blair Redford), Blink (Jamie Chung) and Polaris (Emma Dumont) have definitely seen the inside of that Danger Room.

(Fangirl alert: Polaris was one-half of a favorite mutant, ahem, X-couple.)

Also, and this isn't small: Bryan Singer, who took the helm in the X-Men movie franchise a few times, is the director. Matt Nix (Burn Notice) is the writer.

And this: The character of Blink was in X-Men: Days of Future Past. All right, X-fans, that's enough geeking out.

Well, almost. Because this practically confirms it, along with a tweet using "xmen" as a hashtag: The description for needed extras include two Sentinel techs; find it and apply at dallasfilmcommission.com. That means that the mutant-hunting and eradicating machines -- pivotal in any  X-Men universe -- will be part of the story.

The cast for the pilot contains several notable names, among them Dallas native Amy Acker (Angel); Coby Bell (Burn Notice, The Game); and Stephen Moyer (True Blood). And the pilot will be using local crews, according to Fox publicity exec Chris Alexander.

In the series, Moyer and Acker play parents of children who have mutant powers. Of course, that means they go on the run from the government and join with a mutant underground.

Sounds like Dallas, right? Stay tuned.
