Univision goes dark in Dallas for Charter-Spectrum cable subscribers

Charter-Spectrum cable subscribers in Dallas lost Univision when the network pulled its channels on Tuesday night.

Subscribers all over the country were affected by the blackout. Charter-Spectrum and Univision were in apparently contentious negotiations over fees paid by the cable distributor. Univision decided late Tuesday night that the cable company would no longer carry its channels: Univision, UniMas, Galavision and the Univision Deportes Network, according to the Los Angeles Times and other outlets.

According to Variety, Univision says Charter didn't try "repeated, good-faith efforts to reach an agreement." Charter says that it expects Univision to "honor" the agreement that was in place when Charter aquired Time Warner early last year.
