New year, new TV: What to watch this week, including Texas-heavy 'Celebrity Apprentice'

The winter premiere season is upon us. And the networks are bringing out some fireworks to celebrate the new year.

If you're not so into the new, there's always that Walking Dead marathon that won't quit coming on AMC. But you might not want to miss some exciting and new (and weird and returning) shows coming your way this week:

The Mick: It's a special premiere of the show starring Kaitlin Olson, who would be your favorite aunt except she doesn't want to be and, more importantly, your mother wouldn't want her to be. 7 p.m. Fox

Ransom: The show about a crisis negotiation team premieres at its regular time. 7 p.m. CBS

Out this week in home entertainment

It's all Barbie, all the time, as movies featuring everyone's favorite doll are re-released. The list includes the uplifting Barbie in Princess Power; the empowering Barbie of Swan Lake; the funny and charming Barbie: A Fashion Fairytale; and the sometimes funnier and more charming Barbie Princess: Charm School.

Truth be told, the bloopers might be the most fun of all!
