'Supergirl' on Monday kicks off a heroic week of crossovers on the CW

There haven't been this many A-list heroes in one place on television since the nascent Justice League episodes of Smallville. But a super week is upon us with the much-anticipated crossover episodes in the CW's Arrow-verse finally come to light.

First, Barry Allen shows up seeking help on Supergirl on Monday at 7 p.m. Aliens have landed on his Earth and he needs her to help stop the takeover.

They take the action to The Flash, on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Then Oliver Queen has to deal with some timeline fallout on the 100th episode of Arrow, on Wednesday at 7.

Almost lost in all the hoopla is that this could be considered a four-night event. The heroes from DC's Legends of Tomorrow, borne of one of the Arrow/Flash crossovers, will play a big part leading up to its show on Thursday at 7.

The much-anticipated crossover had a starring role in fans' dreams, perhaps even more than the appearance earlier this season of Superman. At this rate, there'll be no need for fan fiction. Fans will just be able to turn to the CW and let it ride.

At least until after the Supergirl-Flash musical crossover.
