Veteran Hollywood casting director Alpha Tyler will hold a workshop for actors on Saturday, Nov. 5.
The workshop will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Homewood Suites, 2747 N. Stemmons Freeway, Dallas. Inside the Industry Studios is hosting the event for ages 16 and older.
Tyler is the former head of casting for Tyler Perry Studios and has worked on projects such as Being Mary Jane, He Got Game, Ballers and Zoe Ever After. She will share tips on how to prepare for auditions and build resumes, along with providing feedback. There will also be a question-and-answer session at the end of the class.
Tyler is also a Professor of Performing Arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia. Inside the Industry Studios is owned by actress and acting coach Khadijah Karriem.
