Some DC superheroes will inhabit 'Powerless' pilot, say NBC comedy's stars

Star Alan Tudyk says new NBC series Powerless is an "office comedy."

The Plano native is not wrong. But this series about ordinary people in an extraordinary world inhabited by superheroes promises to be so much more.

And in a recent video on DC All Acess on You Tube, the stars of the series let it be known that it wouldn't be all normal people, all the time. Some superhero types will appear in the pilot, including Jack O'Lantern and Crimson Fox.

What? You were expecting Big Blue? 

He's got other fish to fry with his laser vision over on the CW's Supergirl. Or maybe you were expecting a less-popular (to you, dear reader) super, such as Deadman, Raven or Plastic Man?

Powerless is set in an insurance company in a "Gotham-type city called Harmony." Tudyk is the new boss, a "powerless villain," he says. And Vanessa Hudgens (Grease Live: The Musical) is Emily Luck, the head of claims.

I've often wondered about the insurance rates in Metropolis and Gotham, considering how much damage just one superhero-superbaddie fight can do. I have high hopes that Powerless can solve that riddle.
