Watch 'Game of Thrones,' 'Veep' and more for free this weekend

Attention: you no longer have to lie, cheat and steal you way to watch Game of Thrones -- at least for a couple of days.

With shows like Veep, Silicon Valley and that tiny Game of Thrones program (that by no means am I obsessed with) coming back this weekend, HBO is giving non-subscribers the chance to watch the channel for free -- and legally, too!

For Saturday and Sunday, HBO will be available for anyone to try with their cable subscription.  The move comes when service premieres some of its highest-rated shows and is set to air other big programs. It's also at a time when some of HBO's shows (ahem, Thrones) are the most illegally-downloaded content in the world.

In case you don't have cable or want to try HBO for longer than a weekend, the standalone streaming service HBO Now allows new subscribers a month-long free trial. After that it costs $15 a month. It's a little steep for streaming, but what's a few dollars more when there's a khaleesi to follow?
