Queen of the South is scheduled to premiere Tuesday, June 21, at 9 p.m. on USA Network.
The series, shot in Dallas and elsewhere, had gone through a few premiere dates. This one was announced Monday.
Alice Braga (I Am Legend) stars as Teresa Mendoza, who is on the run from a drug trafficking ring. The series is based on La Reina Del Sur, a novel by Arturo Pérez-Reverte.
The book had already been adapted as a popular series for Telemundo.
Justina Machado (Six Feet Under) and Gerardo Taracena (Apocalypto) also star in the ensemble series.
