More casting news

Matthew McConaughey did more than confirm via Twitter that he's been cast as the man in black in Stephen King's Dark Tower movie alongside all-world Idris Elba as the Gunslinger. (Elba's casting is as it should be, the best actor for the job without regard to the illustrations that came before.) According to Entertainment Weekly, the author himself confirmed the casting and the move forward with the movie set to begin shooting in weeks. (Their story is also a good, exclusive read about the possible story lines.)

T.R. Knight (Grey's Anatomy) will join the untitled Meaghan Oppenheimer ABC drama pilot, from executive producers Reese Witherspoon and Bruna Papandrea, that will be shooting in Dallas. If you remember, the show is about a "ruthless Dallas divorce attorney whose life begins to unravel," and he's set to play the villain in the piece, according to Variety. Maybe we're the city so nice, he had to film in it twice: Knight can be seen in Hulu's 11.22.63, which shut down downtown Dallas for a bit.

The news of a 10th installment of the Hellraiser franchise is heating up the geek corners of the Internet. Now, a little heat falls our way with reports  by several sources, originating at Bloody Disgusting, that Dallas actor-writer Paul T. Taylor (Sin City) will play "Pinhead." (SN: The grammarian in me thinks that the series needs to settle on a title. It comes up with that, er, alternate spelling, and is called Hellraiser: Judgement.)
