Jared Fogle's cameo will be cut from 'Sharknado 3', Syfy confirms

Former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle's appearance in Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! has been cut from the film after an FBI raid of his home this week, a Syfy spokesman confirmed Thursday.

Fogle made a cameo appearance in 2014's Sharknado 2: The Second One and was set to appear in the second sequel that will air on Syfy on July 22.

"We confirm he will not be in the final cut of the movie," Gary Morganstein, Syfy's director of communications, said in an email.

The FBI raided Fogle's home in Zionsville, Ind., on Tuesday, two months after Russell Taylor, the former head of the Fogle-founded nonprofit the Jared Foundation, was charged by federal prosecutors with the production and possession of child pornography.

Subway subsequently announced that it was suspending its relationship with Fogle. According to a CNN report Thursday, investigators have leveled no public accusations and his attorney said his client has not been charged with a crime.
