The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal will be joining Marvel and Netflix's hit series Daredevil in season two, and he's playing a familiar face: Frank Castle, more popularly known as The Punisher.
Like Daredevil, The Punisher is a vigilante. But he's a little more willing to be a little more violent when it comes to getting results.
"Jon Bernthal brings an unmatched intensity to every role he takes on, with a potent blend of power, motivation and vulnerability that will connect with audiences," Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Head of Television said in the announcement on Marvel.com. "Castle's appearance will bring dramatic changes to the world of Matt Murdock and nothing will be the same."
This won't be the first time the popular character has appeared on-screen. Thomas Jane played the anti-hero in the 2004 film adaptation of the comic book.
Daredevil will return to Netflix in 2016.
