LUCK restaurant in Trinity Groves has earned a reputation for its unique beer flight pairings, and Sunday, Jan. 31 marks the return of one that could only happen this time of year. The craft beer hot spot will pair samples of local brews with Girl Scout cookies.

Excuse me, but you're drooling.

The flight, which includes four beers and eight cookies, costs $12 and will be available through Thursday, Feb. 4.

Here's the lineup:

  • Thin Mints with the Chocolate Stout from Shannon Brewing Co.
  • Samoas (or Caramel deLites depending on your location)  with the Angry Goat weizen dopplebock from Rahr and Sons Brewing Co.
  • Do-si-dos (or Peanut Butter Sandwiches) with the Somethin' Shady porter from Texas Ale Project
  • Lemonades with the Salty Lady gose from Martin House Brewing Co.

Co-owner Jeff Dietzman says patrons have been asking when LUCK would host the event again since its inaugural installment.

"Many of our regulars discovered us because they first came in for the Girl Scout flight," he says. "We sold out each of five nights we did it last year and by far it's been our most popular flight pairing event."

And if Dietzman has learned anything about the Dallas' hungry masses, it's that they'll camp out (seriously) to get a taste. That's why he's stocked up on enough boxes of cookies for 500 flights and will have adorable representatives from local troops there for anyone who needs another fix.
