Dollar Day at the Dallas Zoo at Dallas Zoo
GuideLive Staff Recommends
Every child should have the chance to mingle with monkeys and learn about lemurs, and the Dallas Zoo’s Dollar Day discounts make it possible for families across D-FW. Zoo admission is $1 for most and free for children 2 and under for one more time before Dallas Independent School District campuses resume classes for the new school year. Other deals include $5 giraffe feedings, $2 rides on the Endangered Species Carousel and $2 for select snack items. That means you can get eye-to-eye with graceful ungulates in the Giants of the Savanna habitat, check out gorilla youngsters Mbani and Saambili, see the newly acquired African painted dogs and watch hippo Boipelo and her calf, Adanna. Be sure to arrive early since the event tends to be a big draw.
