Late Nights at the DMA: The House of Dior

On the third Friday of each month the Museum stays open until 11 p.m. for Late Nights at the DMA, which feature experiences for visitors of all ages including performances, concerts, readings, film screenings, tours, family programs and more.

This late night, learn about the House of Dior and the impact it has had on the world of fashion with talks, films, tours and more.

Program Highlights:

Happy Hour Performance ft. Diana Dill Savage -- 6-7 p.m.: Start your evening with a performance of French music from classics La Vie en Rose to popular songs from LeGrand’s jazz operas The Umbrellas of Cherbourg and Les Demoiselles de Rochefort sung by Diana Dill Savage.

Late Night Talk: Dior and His Decorators -- 7 p.m.: Author Maureen Footer will talk about her book Dior and His Decorators, which examines the work of Victor Grandpierre and Georges Geffroy, the designers behind Dior's first couture house.

Main Stage Performance ft. Julie Slim and Rendevous -- 8-9 p.m.: Enjoy the warm, precise vocals of Lebanese-American multilingual, French jazz vocalist Julie Slim. Founded by Slim in 2013, this band incorporates the musical and cultural influences in her life.

Late Night Film: Dior and I -- 9 p.m.: Frédéric Tcheng's 2015 documentary Dior and I provides a look inside the Dior atelier as new artistic director Raf Simons designs his first haute couture collection.
