Savor bites from McKinney restaurants paired with beer from Tupps Brewery at the first Beer and Bites Festival benefiting Hugs Cafe. Listen to live music by Louisiana group After-Hours and Miranda Lambert tribute band Gunpowder and Lead. Play lawn games, shop local vendors and boutiques, enter a watermelon eating contest and vote for your favorite bites. Admission to the festival is free. To enjoy food and beer, purchase a bites pass for $40. Participating restaurants include E.J. Wills Gastro Pub, Rye Craft Food and Cocktails, Dillas Quesadillas, Po' Boy Place, Sugarbacon and Bayou Jacks.
Hugs Cafe is a non-profit cafe run and operated primarily by adults with special needs.
