The city of Irving celebrates Washington Irving, the author of classic stories such as Rip Van Winkle and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. John Dennis Anderson will portray the writer in a program that is part of the city's 12th annual "Celebrating Irving: The City and the Man." There will also be hands-on art activities for all to enjoy.
At 2 p.m., Anderson will present "A Conversation With Washington Irving" at the South Irving Library, 601 Schulze Drive, Irving.
