Experience a holiday celebration the way Texas families did 150 years ago. Take a tour of the historic Minor-Porter log cabin, built in the 1869, and the restored corn crib at the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA) Homestead. Make a corn husk doll or ornament, create a hand-dipped candle, and enjoy traditional holiday music, a cup of hot cider and Dutch oven gingerbread.
Visitors are welcome to come and go at their own pace. Activities are free with regular LLELA gate admission of $5 per vehicle. The gate entrance is at 201 E. Jones Street.
