Moon Day, the largest annual space exposition in Texas, honors space flight accomplishments of the past and spotlights current and future activities in space exploration. Guests can explore the universe with the interactive Omni Globe exhibit, view NASA's special collection of lunar soil, build and launch a model rocket (preregistration and extra fee required). Among the space celebs in attendance are astronaut Douglas Harry "Wheels" Wheelock, a retired Army Colonel who has spent more than 178 days in space; Wally Funk, a pilot/flight instructor and member of the Mecury 13 group featured in a recent Netflix documentary; and Dr. Rhiannon Mayne, curator of the meteorite collection at Texas Christian University.

This year, the aviation museum's STEM-focused event also celebrates the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Apollo VII mission and includes programs and classes for all ages. Moon Day is presented in collaboration with the National Space Society of North Texas. Sponsored by Beal Bank.

Moon Day is free with museum admission: $10 Adults | $8 Seniors (65+) | $7 Youths/Students (3-17) | Children under 3 FREE. Free admission for all military families through the Blue Star Museum program.
