This event has already happened

The Museum of the American Railroad brings the traveling “Day Out with Thomas” exhibition to D-FW for a double weekend event at the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. Thomas the Tank Engine, a talking steam locomotive, inspired a beloved franchise of children’s books, films and a long-spanning TV series. Head to the tracks and take a ride in a real-life Thomas train, then be sure to find the railway controller Sir Topham Hatt and grab a photo. At the “Imagination Station,” you can make your own track and re-create scenes of Thomas and his friends, use blocks to build your favorite railroad structures or get a Thomas-themed temporary tattoo. Other activities include story time, where you can listen to Thomas’ adventures as they are read aloud.

Trains depart every 45 minutes beginning at 9 a.m. The last train departs at 5:15 p.m. on Fridays and 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
