Before watching Thanos take on a motley crew of Marvel characters in Avengers: Infinity War in May, meet the man who created the character. Writer and artist Jim Starlin, whose final Marvel book Thanos: The Infinity Siblings will be published this spring, also created Drax the Destroyer from Guardians of the Galaxy. Other guests at this family-friendly comics-focused show include artist Randy Emberlin from Web of Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man, writer and artist Renée Witterstaetter, voice actress Gigi Edgley of Farscape and Jim Shooter of Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars. The show will also have a cosplay contest, local artists and writers, and vendors selling comic books, action figures, toys and other collectibles.

This biannual family-friendly event is ideal for both comic and cosplay enthusiasts. Attendees have the chance to meet the writers and illustrators behind some of the most popular works in the comic book industry. The lineup of graphic novel greats includes Thanos creator Jim Starlin and The Amazing Spider-Man artist Randy Emberlin, as well as a reunion of Secret Wars writer Jim Shooter and illustrators Mike Zeck and John Beatty. Browse the selection of comic books and related collectibles for sale, or check out the local talent producing their own comics right here in D-FW. Cosplayers of all ages are encouraged to come in character and participate in the cosplay contest on Feb. 10 at 2 p.m., with a special kids division for the younger crowd.

$20 per day, free for children 11 and younger when accompanied by paying adult.
