A Conversation and Tribute to Trini Lopez

Sep 23, 2017 - Sep 22, 2017

Dallas native and world renowned singer Trini Lopez grew up in the historic barrio of Little Mexico. He got his musical start playing in and around Dallas and became a household name with his upbeat '60s hits including "Lemon Tree," "La Bamba" and "If I Had a Hammer."

During Hispanic Heritage Month, the Dallas Mexican American Historical League, in collaboration with Latino Cultural Center, presents "A Conversation and Tribute To Trini Lopez." Lopez will be on stage to talk about his life and career. Admission is free. For reservations, call the Latino Cultural Center at 214-671-0045.

The exhibition "Musica! Our Rhythm, Our Heart, Our Soul: A Soundtrack to the Mexican American Experience in Dallas" is also on view at the LCC through Oct. 14.
