The Alamo Drafthouse and our local PBS station are teaming up for a family screening of PBS KIDS' latest show, along with themed activities and giveaways. We will enjoy three episodes from the new show on the big screen (including a sneak peak at two brand new episodes). This is an all-ages show with Alamo for All rules - noisy young fans won't be asked to leave the theater but we do ask that cellphones and other devices stay dark.

NATURE CAT follows Fred, a house cat who dreams of exploring the great outdoors. In each episode, once his family leaves for the day, Fred transforms into Nature Cat, "backyard explorer extraordinaire."Nature Cat can't wait to get outside for a day of backyard nature excursions and bravery, but there's oneproblem: He's still a house cat with no instincts for nature. Like many of today's kids, Nature Cat is eagerand enthusiastic about outside activities, but is at times intimidated by them. With the help of his animalfriends, Nature Cat embarks on action-packed adventures that include exciting missions full of natureinvestigation, "aha" discovery moments and humor, all while inspiring children to go outside and "play the show."

This month features the new OCEAN COMMOTION episode: A day for celebrating Hal and his favorite chew toy Mr.Chewinsky's three-year anniversary as dog and toy has gone from joyous fun to total sadness asNature Cat has made a terrible mistake! Nature Cat accidentally dropped Mr. Chewinsky downthe storm drain, and now he is floating on the storm water, working his way through the drainsystem to the river and out to the ocean!
