6th Annual Family Expo and Big Latch On

A view of the Japanse Garden at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. The Botanic Garden was added to National Register of Historic Places this year. The specific parts of it on the register are the lower rose garden and the Rock Springs area. Also need pretty landscape photos of Japanese Garden, which is where any fall color remains. Celebrate World Breastfeeding Week by joining Tarrant County Breastfeeding Coalition, Mothers' Milk Bank of North Texas and JPS Health Network at the 6th Annual Family Expo & Big Latch On! Last year’s event was a great success with hundreds of attendees and 277 babies breastfeeding simultaneously! This is a FREE, mostly indoor event and is open to the public.

The 6th Annual Family Expo & Big Latch On will take place at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. The Expo runs from 9 am – 1 pm and will be held in both Redbud Hall and Oak Hall.

The BIG LATCH ON will take place at 10:30 am and will last for 1 minute. Please be settled and ready to latch your child at 10:15. The Latch On will take place in the garden, please bring a blanket to sit on. The child must be 'Latched On' for 1 minute total during a 10 minute period, so there is no need to worry about a distracted child not latching at the exact moment of the latch on.

The Family Expo vendor fair has 50 vendors geared towards families with babies and toddlers, those who are pregnant, couples who are just beginning to plan their families and anyone interested in a holistic or healthy lifestyle. Don’t miss the silent auction, where you can win items for pregnancy, babies, children, families and adults.
