Join the City of Irving and the West Irving Improvement Association for the 2017 Juneteenth Celebration. This year's event will be held from 5-8 p.m. June 17 at 3925 Jackson St.

In addition to a free community picnic sponsored by In-N-Out Burger and a live concert, this year’s celebration will pay homage to museums that share information about the origin of the Juneteenth holiday. Visitors can enjoy tours of the Jackie Townsell Bear Creek Heritage Center, as well as outdoor games, a vendor marketplace and children activities. Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for the performances.
