PorchFest is a unique live music festival now in its second year hosted by the home community of Tucker Hill on Saturday, June 10, 2017, from 5 p.m. until dusk. This free event will feature live bands staged on at least six of Tucker Hill’s quaint front porches that surround and lead to the community’s central park area, known as Founders Square.

The evening highlight is a concert-on-the-lawn featuring Moving Colors. This high-energy band is known for its wide variety of musical styles (oldies classics to today’s top hits), inventive bucket percussion routines (think “Stomp!” but cooler), unique artwork created right on stage, a guitarist who does handstands while he plays, and big-voiced female vocalists.

As attendees stroll the Tucker Hill neighborhood and enjoy front porch concerts, they can also peruse a pop-up artisan’s market with almost 20 vendors, enjoy a complimentary wine tasting hosted by McKinney’s Mitas Hill Vineyard and grab a gourmet burger slider from Arete’s food truck followed by a cold treat from Rita’s Italian Ice.

The entire event is family friendly, open to the public and free of charge.
