It is absolutely worth a midnight trek to the classic Inwood theater to view this 1960s gem. The Warren Beatty-produced film was shot in and around Dallas and features a stellar cast. Among my favorites is Gene Wilder, making his big screen debut, as the henpecked undertaker held hostage by the Barrow gang.

Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty play Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow—the legendary Depression-era bandits and lovers who gained fame by looting and gunning a bloody trail through the American Southwest—in this landmark film that triggered a revolution in screen violence. Winner of two Academy Awards, for Best Cinematography and Best Supporting Actress (Estelle Parsons), the film also stars Gene Hackman, Michael J. Pollard and Gene Wilder. Directed by Arthur Penn (Little Big Man, The Miracle Worker).
